SUP YOGA FAQ

SUP YOGA FAQ

Do I need to have experience on a paddle Board?

Our classes are beginner-friendly with each class offering an extensive introduction to paddle board equipment, basic paddling techniques and safety precautions to ensure you feel safe and supported for your experience.

Do I need yoga experience?

We keep our practices on the water light, fun and friendly for even the most beginner yogi. Don't worry if you've never take a yoga class before, we will provide modifications to adapt the practice to your skill set.

Do I need to know how to swim?

While strongly encouraged, it is not required that you know how to swim, as long as you are comfortable with the possibility of falling in. All students are required to carry a personal flotation device (life jacket) on board at all times and it is available to wear for less experienced swimmers.

What do I need to wear/ bring to class?

Dress cool and comfortable in clothing that you do not mind getting wet. A few other essentials: water, sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses and/or hat, waterproof phone case (optional), towel and an open mind, ready to have some FUN! Please keep in mind that anything that you take along on the water may end up IN the water, so leave your valuables behind or bring along an appropriate carrying vessel (dry bag or the like)

What happens in the case of inclement weather?

In the case of lightening and/or storms causing a class cancellation, the determination will be made within 12 hours of the class and all students who are registered will be notified. Rainchecks will be provided to all register students to use towards enrollment in a future class.
