How long have you been practicing yoga? I started my yoga journey almost 20 years ago in 2005 as a wide-eyed college graduate facing the stresses of her first big city job. Four years later, I embarked on my first yoga teacher training — an experience that I never knew would completely change the trajectory of my life.
What does YOGA mean to you? Yoga is a coping mechanism for the challenges of being human. More than the poses on a mat, yoga is a practice of being in relationship to self — getting to know how we show up when shit gets hard on the mat teaches us about how we show up when life gets stressful off the mat. Yoga is a practice in stress management, emotional resilience, self compassion and tapping into the deep well of infinite wisdom that lives within.
What is your favorite Asana (yoga posture)? I often tell students that “the wisdom is in the wobble” — so my favorite posture is the one that makes me wobble the most. This can change day to day.
What is your go to Pranayama (breathing) practice? I have two that I use regularly: Sama Vritti Pranayama (Box Breath) to center myself when feeling scattered, anxious or ungrounded and Kapalabhati Pranayama (Breath of Fire) as an energy boost or to burn off anger and frustration.
What is your personal Mantra? The Struggle is Real, The Suffering Is Optional
Favorite thing about being on the Mobile Om team? I love that our teachers are friendly, authentic and down-to-earth and the vast array of humans that commune for our classes. The feeling of this community is magical.

I love being outside. When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga outdoors you’re likely to find me hiking, biking or paddle boarding.
I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Mental Health Therapy.
I love word games. Wordle, Scrabble and Crossword Puzzles are my jam!
I’m pretty obsessed with my dog, Charley. If you come to my class, you’ve likely met him. If not, you need to. ;)
My ‘happy place’ is Costa Rica.

How long have you been practicing yoga? I've been practicing yoga for over 12 years. My mom and I started going together over the summer at a small studio in Ellicott City, MD. We fell in the love with the practice, the teachers and the community and have been hooked ever since.
What does YOGA mean to you? Yoga started as a way to feel more integrated into my body through building a mind, body and breath connection. Over the years I've learned that the practice is so much bigger than what's done on the mat and have found ways to integrate the practices of yoga into everyday moments.
What is your favorite Asana (yoga posture)? Half Moon: I love the way this posture makes me feel grounded and expansive at the same time.
What is your go to Pranayama (breathing) practice? Alternate Nostril Breathing
What is your personal Mantra? I want to cultivate spaces that make people’s lives better through an intentional, collaborative and supportive environment.
Favorite thing about being on the Mobile Om team? I love being able to teach and attend yoga in unconventional spaces. When teaching or attending a MobileOM class I truly feel engrained in whatever community we are practicing within or around.

How long have you been practicing yoga? I found yoga at 14 when a Dance teacher led us through Yoga nidra. I was so curious to learn more, and bought a Yoga asana DVD at Target and practiced with on repeat for years until I had the nerve to step into a studio. 23 years later Yoga & Meditation are still my daily practices for physical, spiritual, and emotional connection.
What does YOGA mean to you? Life can be hard. Simply being a person alive on any given day presents plenty of reasons to freak out, hide, shrink, numb out, run away, or avoid doing the right thing. Yoga practice develops loving discernment. Its framework helps me remain grounded within myself and connected to greater world around me.
What is your favorite Asana (yoga posture)? Most of the time I'm not looking forward to any of them. My brain suggests a million things I 'should' be doing. Whatever pose I'm in when the switch flips and I drop out of my head and into my body - that's my favorite pose for the day.
What is your go to Pranayama (breathing) practice? Dirga Pranayam
What is your personal Mantra? Sat Nam
Favorite thing about being on the Mobile Om team? The crowd of people that show up for class! It's diverse, inclusive, positive, and doesn't take itself too seriously

What does YOGA mean to you? To me, yoga is in all the small moments. Choosing patience when you’re stuck in traffic, offering grace when faced with a more difficult person or situation, knowing that for every “no” there’s a great big “YES!” on the other side.
What is your favorite Asana (yoga posture)? I love child’s pose! I love giving myself and my students that space to rest and come back to the mat, catch the breath, and hop back into the practice.
What is your go to Pranayama (breathing) practice? Box breath! To help me fall asleep, to help guide anxious thoughts away, even to just take a moment for one intentional breath!
What is your personal Mantra? Embrace the wobbles
